Shh… the Temple is finally cooking up fresh vibes. Stay tuned, and thanks for sticking around!

About

Temple of Skate kicked off in 2015 as a skate-art zine project and has slowly grown into a small artist-run studio and online shop, led solely by Singaporean artist and illustrator Tuck Wai, better known to friends as Tucks.

The studio conjures a world in black sumi ink, where skateboarding skull monks and lowbrow misfits, all with a twist inspired by Asian mythology, roam the ever-expanding lore of the fictional Temple.

Drawing inspiration from Hokusai’s ukiyo-e prints and skate art icons like Jim Phillips and Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, every brushstroke channels a little Zen and unleashes a little chaos from brush to life.

Over the years, Temple of Skate has had the opportunity to collaborate with brands such as Vans, Real Skateboards, Element Skateboards, Salomon Snowboards, Mob Griptape, Casio, Vision Street Wear, and more, allowing the artist-led studio to share its skate-inspired art far beyond Singapore’s shores.
